Ground Duty Technical - AE(L)

General Physical Standards

  • Height: Minimum 152.5 cm (varies by branch and gender)
  • Weight: Proportionate to height and age
  • Chest: Minimum expansion required

Flying Branch - Additional Requirements

  • Near Vision: 6/6 in one eye and 6/9 in other (correctable to 6/6)
  • Distant Vision: 6/24 (correctable to 6/6)
  • Color Vision: CP-I/CP-II
  • No night blindness or squint
  • Dental fitness standards

📝 SELECTION PROCESS

Stage 1: AFCAT Online Examination

  • Date: 31 January 2026 (Saturday)
  • Mode: Online Computer-Based Test (CBT)
  • Duration: 2 hours
  • Total Marks: 300
  • Sections: General Awareness, Verbal Ability, Numerical Ability, Reasoning

Stage 2: Air Force Selection Board (AFSB) Testing

Candidates shortlisted from AFCAT will be called for AFSB testing (5 days):

  • Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) Tests
  • Psychological Tests
  • Group Testing Officer (GTO) Tasks
  • Personal Interview
  • Conference

Stage 3: Medical Examination

Candidates recommended by AFSB undergo comprehensive medical examination at designated military hospitals.

Stage 4: Final Merit List

Final selection based on combined performance in AFCAT, AFSB, and medical fitness.
